Below the map (which is not to scale) you will see a list of the places marked with numbers. My intention is to create a website which will have links to the places marked, but using Blogspot has its limitations and I am currently learning to use another software program. In the meantime, I hope you find the map of interest.
I am a great believer in 'anti-walking'. This is looking at what guided walks there are, then going where your eyes and feet take you, remembering to look up, as well as around you — in other words, make your own walks up.
There is just one book I would recommend: The Pevsner Architectural Guide (of) Nottingham by Elaine Harwood. It covers the whole Nottingham City Council area and includes twelve walks. I tend to leave it at home, make notes of what and I see and look at the book later.
My list has been compiled from my head and I know there are places I could add, such as the Bell Inn on Angel Row, which also claims to be Nottingham's 'oldest inn'.
